Gift Shop of local items on sale in center. The Frank L. Melega Art Museum located in the Flatiron building displays original and limited reproductions of Frank L. Melega, local well renowned artist. Art on display tells the story of many industries and people of the region. The art museum sponsors visiting artists to display a variety of art styles throughout the year. The classes are both for beginners and for those wanting to learn special skills, such as Excel or email. The teacher, Bill Pierce, is quite versatile, is willing to work one-on-one with his students as well as with a small group and can research various areas of interest for you. Lori Rohrer sponsor of the Brownsville History club and Renee Franks instructor of the film/video technology class teamed together to have the students compete in this presentation. The students visited the Heritage Center to hear Mr. GlennTunney and Norma Ryan present information about the history of the community and ideas for the future. The students visited throughout the town and took photos as part of the project. They prepared a short video that will be viewed on December 10th along with many other students in the Mon Valley displaying their version of how they believe their towns can be revitalized.
